Wendy’s North Pacific Cod Sandwich is back, but its weak tartar sauce has been replaced with a creamy dill tartar sauce made with pickle relish. Also new to the sandwich are slices of dill pickles. The sandwich still features a wild-caught North Pacific cod fillet that’s lightly breaded with panko crumbs, lettuce, and a toasted bun.

My boyfriend and I each tried this sandwich last night for dinner, and we both thought it was wonderful. He’s not a huge fan of overly dilly tastes, but he loved the sandwich, and I thought the dill in the trader sauce, mixed with the pickles, was a great punch of flavor. It’s not the cheapest fish sandwich, but it was worth it for a tasty supper. Kudos to an actually memorable fast food fish sandwich. Still love the Filet O Fish (of course) but I’ll probably be hitting up Wendy’s for this sandwich instead as long as the promotion lasts.
Awful. Previously I loved their fish sandwich. Now the patty is small and flavorless. The only thing with flavor is the pickles and tarter sauce. The sauce is not great. It’s dill, and that’s it. All in all I was very disappointed. I was excited to see it back on the menu and can’t believe how horrible they made it.
I wait for Lent every year so that I can eat these DAILY!
I grew up eating REAL Cod and chips (fries), so whenever someone brings out their “Cod” anything I try it.
As is usually the case the Wendy’s North Pacific Cod Sandwich was a huge dissapointment. Firstly, lettuce does not even belong on the same plate as Cod let alone in a sandwich with it, neither do pickles, the sauce I’ll let slip as a few people have said they like it.
Now for the “cod fillet”……I’ve caught many Cod and even the smallest (that can be landed legally) is made up of large white flakes, sweet and tasty. The thing in this sandwich is definitely NOT a fillet and I doubt if it is even cod. This was a square patty made up of (probably) tail ends and offcuts – the stuff you give to the cat after you finish filleting your catch! Taste was very poor, again nothing like cod.
So, it’s back to Culver’s for my next Cod ‘fix’.
I liked the Pacific cod fish from Wendy’s that I’ve gotten in the past, this one is OK with the Panko but there’s more Panko breading then there is fish. I would like to see more fish than breading for the $3.99 I paid for the sandwich .
