Dunkin’ Donuts’ latest bakery sandwich is the Pretzel Roll Chicken Sandwich. It features a breaded chicken filet, cheddar cheese, bacon, and honey mustard on an oven-toasted pretzel roll. According to the press release, the oven-toasted pretzel roll is new, but it’s not the first pretzel bun we’ve seen from Dunkin’ Donuts. In 2013, the chain introduced a roast beef sandwich with a pretzel roll.
The new oven-toasted pretzel roll is also available as an option on any Dunkin’ Donuts bakery sandwich or breakfast sandwich. The Pretzel Roll Chicken Sandwich is available for a limited time.
The Dunkin’ Donuts Preztel Roll Chicken Sandwich has 640 calories, 230 calories from fat, 25 grams of fat, 8 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 70 milligrams of cholesterol, 1560 milligrams of sodium, 68 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, and 33 grams of protein.

They had samples of the sandwich at my Dunkin Donuts this past weekend so I tried a piece. It was good, although a bit dry. Not sure if it’s normally dry or the sample had been sitting out awhile.
Oh goody another way over priced from the fridge to the convection oven sandwich from Dunkin Donuts.
My husband had one Sunday. He said it was over microwaved and rubbery. it was so bad he didn’t finish it.
Dunkin Donuts doesn’t use a microwave. They use a high-temp commercial oven to heat up items.

This had a surprisingly good mix of flavors, and the chicken was juicy and a generous portion. Couldn’t really taste the honey mustard, and the cheese flavor was pretty dominant. Bacon was nice and crisp. The pretzel roll adds crunch, as well as large white salt crystals, undoubtedly adding to the high sodium count. The salty overtones may be too much for some folks…reminded me of a beef on weck offering. Overall, quite tasty, though, and I would buy again.
