Starbucks has a new autumn espresso beverage — the Toasted Graham Latte. It features graham and sweet cream in steamed milk and Starbucks espresso. Then it’s finished off with a sprinkling of cinnamon graham crumbles. It’s also available iced.
According to Yoke Wong, Starbucks’ beverage R&D manager, the flavor was inspired by the taste of cereal milk. To be honest Cereal Milk Latte would’ve been a much more enticing name.

I mean, sure, if cereal milk had a weird artificial flavor to it, lacked sweetness, and tasted absolutely nothing like graham. I found this very disappointing!
I completely agree! I love graham crackers, cinnamon, all of that. But I was really disappointed in this latte. It just tasted like a straight latte – no sweetness or special flavor at all. And no crumbles! Boring in a cup.
I was gonna order it yesterday, so I asked the barista her honest opinion. I’m a gal that can appreciate honesty when it comes to chucking out $5+ for a cup of coffee. She almost yelled at me in such a harsh whisper that I ended up laughing so hard, I almost forgot what I was gonna order as an alternative. She said, “NO! I tried it BOTH iced AND hot, and I swear, it tastes like crap. I would scribble it off the menu myself if I could!” Gee, thanks. Works for me. Lemme just get my signature venti quad espresso nonfat milk sub hazelnut for vanilla iced caramel macchiato and a reduced fat cinnamon swirl coffee cake, please… LOL, just based on her reaction, I wouldn’t even dare ask to try it again. I’ll continue to enjoy the seasonal iced pumpkin spice latte with caramel drizzle and a pumpkin scone on the side while I patiently wait for the gingerbread latte to make its debut. Speaking of which, when does that tasty concoction come back?
Bahaaaa!!! Taya, you sooooo need to write reviews for this website. I pee-peed on myself a little from reading what you wrote. Teehee.
LOL, thanks, Dre… journalism has always been a hobby. Wanted to make it a career, but I would have lost my sense of humor. I’m too harsh for some. I think I may brave the waters and taste this thing today as a birthday treat since it’ll be a reward.
Starbucks is really hyping this new flavor — yet fails to offer it in the Midwest. We Chicago people feel pretty neglected!!
Its because chicago stores got the “pumpkin flat white” which is taking a pumpkin puree, cutting it into whole milk and makinf a flat white with pumpkin milk mixture. Starbucks will do the same with a “holiday spice” flat white.
fails to offer it in the midwest? i guess if chicago was the only place in the midwest you idiot
Oh, relax. I’m from the Upper Midwest (Michigan, specifically), and Chicago seems like it would be an important test market for a new flavor. It’s a major population center and vacation city. (It’s like our NYC that way. I’m assuming you’re a Midwesterner and you know this, but on the internet, who knows?)
Anyway, it sounds like Chi-Town — and perhaps some of the rest of the Midwest — isn’t missing much.
I’m in Wack-consin and we’ve got it. I’m surprised Chicago doesn’t.
I am a Starbucks barista and was very excited for this flavor to come out. I think it’s awful now that it’s here and I’ve tried if. It’s terrible as a hot latte, iced latte, frappacino and in iced coffee..it has no flavor just pure gross sweetness. They should have just kept the graham flavor they had this summer for the s’mores frap
This was really disappointing to me. It had no graham or cinnamon flavor whatsoever. I thought the barista forgot to add something until I read these reviews.
