The Burger King A.1. Halloween Whopper was supposed to be around until, you know, Halloween, but it appears that perhaps due due…I mean, due to issues with what happened after folks ate the burger, it has been removed from their menu and replaced with the Extra Long Sriracha Cheeseburger.
BK’s latest Extra Long variation features two flame-grilled 100 percent beef patties, melted American cheese, iceberg lettuce, onions, and a spicy Sriracha-flavored sauce on a toasted hoagie bun. It’s also part of BK’s 2 for $5 menu.
The burger has 480 calories, 23 grams of fat, 11 grams of saturated fat, 1.5 grams of trans fat, 80 milligrams of cholesterol, 1210 milligrams of sodium, 45 grams of carbohydrates, 7 grams of sugar, and 26 grams of protein.

At least I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Halloween Whopper once, kinda sucks that they removed it from their menu.
They stopped selling it?! I wonder is that termination locally or nationalwide. Instead of black bun they could used orange buns.
How about no food dye – period? Only Burger King would go against the consensus.
Told you it was too artificial for the us
I’m curious on why we never heard any feces reports from Japan on black buns.
I don’t think Japan used such dyes.
But did they really not know what would happen as the after-effect? Did none of their testers mention what happened when all that dye made its way to the end of their GI tract?
Different dyes, really. According to Grub Street, BK Japan used bamboo charcoal to darken their buns. (And squid ink for other things.) Yum? http://www.grubstreet.com/2014/09/burger-king-japan-black-hamburger.html
They stopped selling it because they didn’t expect it to sell so well and they didn’t make enough of the buns.
If this was such a big seller, then they would have more black buns, yes? Why end a promotion before its intended purpose? This was a huge black eye for Burger King.
*Would have made more black buns.
Sriracha Cheeseburger SUX it taste like eating an extra long gasoline burger.
