Strawberry shortcake was a popular Valentine’s Day flavor, but it appears Dunkin’ Donuts didn’t get that memo. But I guess their new Strawberry Shortcake Croissant Donut is better late than never.
The sugary treat features Dunkin’ Donuts’ classic glazed Croissant Donut with a strawberry buttercreme filling and it’s topped with white and strawberry icing drizzle.
The donut has 400 calories, 20 grams of fat, 12 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 25 milligrams of cholesterol, 300 milligrams of sodium, 50 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 25 grams of sugar, and 5 grams of protein.

That thing just looks sad. I think i’d rather spend my 400 calories elsewhere…
I don’t care for the firmness of their croissant doughnut, but the filling was pretty tasty. My kid poked finger holes all over to get to the filling, so I guess the opinion was unanimous.
I haven’t tried this, but I tried their new pistachio iced coffee and wasn’t crazy about it. It wasn’t bad, in fact I think they did a very good job executing the pistachio flavor, but it was more subtle like hazelnut and I was hoping for something sweeter and a bit more distinct. Very interesting that they introduced that flavor though, you never see pistachio coffee! xD
The filling is strawberry jelly buttercream. This isn’t one of the prettiest donuts because of the filling holes on the top, but it might be one of the best-tasting donuts I’ve ever had from Dunkin’. Related, I think “shortcake” is an inappropriate name. They should have called it “Strawberry Ice Cream Croissant Donut” because that’s what it tastes like—strawberry ice cream with puffy, crispy fried croissant dough.
I hate the filling. Its jelly not buttercream
Tastes like the Frankenberry cereal.
I love it! You haters out there may think it looks disgusting but you’d have to try it to find out. The filling makes it 10 billion times better. It may look messy but the taste is off the roof! No I’m not a bot sent here to say this but honestly today I just thought of the amazing taste I have experienced before when a family member reminded me of it. Just a tip.
