For years, Starbucks locations in Japan have offered a cherry blossom Frappuccino. In Japan, cherry blossoms (or sakura) are the national flower and are celebrated during this time of year.
This year, Starbucks locations in the U.S. are offering the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino. The blended beverage features strawberries and cream with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle. It’s topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha.
Starbucks’ Cherry Blossom Frappuccino will be available at participating U.S. locations for a very limited time until the first day of spring on Sunday, March 20.

I find it strange the release is such a short time, but I tried it last night and wasn’t too impressed. Overall, it was good and I had no problem finishing it, but it’s not something I could justify a repeat purchase of for close to $5 for a tall. It tasted just like their strawberries & cream frappuccino with a slight grassy note to it. Honestly though, the dominating flavor was Strawberry Nesquick. Definitely disappointed, I was expecting a lot more! They should stick to unique coffee/espresso beverages in my opinion and leave the milkshakes (or creme frappuccinos) to Sonic and Dairy Queen.
Its called Cherry Blossom but it isnt even made or flavored with cherries??
Cherry Blossoms do not come from the same trees that grow the fruit we eat.
I tried it yesterday. It tasted 100% like strawberry, If you’re looking for a green tea fix this is not the way to go. Gotta say it was really pretty though.
Why does a cherry blossom drink have strawberries & cream ?????
They should had introduced a new cherry flavor Frappuccino!
