SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Giant-Stop & Shop S’mores Cookie Dip and Peanut Butter Cookie Dip

Giant-Stop & Shop S'mores Cookie Dip and Peanut Butter Cookie Dip

Soooo these exist. Three questions: What do you dip into these? Why do they need to be kept refrigerated? And, if I combined the two, what will it taste like? (Spotted by Trevor L at Stop & Shop.)

  1. They are really good. I have tried all three of them. They have a chocolate chip one too that isn’t in the picture. We tried it with pretzel snaps, vanilla wafers, graham crackers. I would say my favorite is with pretzels.

  2. We tried the PB & Chocolate chip one and were thoroughly disappointed. No peanut buttery flavor, just gritty sweetness and cheap-tasting mini choc chips. Tsk.

I guess I’ll have to fill the craving with some homemade cream cheese-based dessert dips come the holidays. Hehe

    1. They’re in the dairy aisle with the Helluva Good dips. I just picked up the S’Mores one, came to this website from a google search trying to figure out what to DO with the danged thing. Got it free with a Stop & Shop promotion coupon this morning.

      1. It was disgusting, so I threw it away after the first 6 pretzels-worth. Low-quality marshmallow fluff over low-quality mush that was probably intended to resemble graham crackers but failed utterly. Really nasty.

  3. I picked one up for free, too, and came here to figure out what to do with it. There’s a hard mass of refrigerated cookie down under the white marshmallow fluff, which softens when it warms up. Dipping cookies was redundant, to say the least, and overly sweet. Thick pretzel rods would work, if you like the combo. Potato chips aren’t sturdy enough; those Frito scoops might work, but the flavors may not. I may just eat it with a spoon (it’s probably unhealthy enough, no need to make it worse).
