Right under a “Good Source of Protein” the box should’ve said a “Good Source of Crunch.” (Spotted by Emily W at Walmart.)

  1. El Monterey box said “textured vegetable protein (TVP) added” BLECH! I think it is small amount of meat & loads of TVP in there

  2. Harris Teeter, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kroger, has the carb master yogurts in more generic flavors and they were all TERRIBLE. I hope the Kroger ones are easier on the palate.

  3. Nope they all suck unfortunately. We’ve had these and other flavors at our store for years, I’m surprised they even sell at all.

  4. I don’t care what others say: despite their name, Kroger Carbmaster Yogurts are amazing. Whether it’s the perfectly creamy texture, flavor diversity, or absurd amount of protein, something’s kept me addicted to them for years.

And the most exciting part about this particular Krogurt (my word; make it official, Kroger) sighting is that years ago, when I first became a Carbmaster devotee, I innocently emailed Kroger suggesting two new flavor ideas: orange creme and apple pie. And now, so many years later, both flavors have hit shelves. I’m calling myself a ridiculously delayed Nostradamus.

  5. The Carbmaster products are disgusting, the single worst store-brand items I have ever tried in any category. Very subdued flavors, ugh texture, first three ingredients: water, milk protein concentrate, whey protein isolate.

By contrast, the main ingredient of yogurt is generally milk.
