Back in March, we posted a photo of two spicy test items from Wendy’s — the Spicy Sriracha Chicken and Bacon Sriracha Fries. Well, they are testing no longer. The Bacon Sriracha Fries are available for a limited time at a suggested retail price of $1.99.
The side dish features a small serving of Wendy’s fries topped with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped Applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, and a sriracha aioli.
A serving has 600 calories, 39 grams of fat, 11 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 45 milligrams of cholesterol, 1110 milligrams of sodium, 47 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of fiber, 3 grams of sugar, and 14 grams of protein.

Quite tasty IMO.
I didn’t get to try the fries but the Wendys I frequent near work (in Salt Lake City) had the Siracha chicken sandwich and it was very good. The siracha aioli wasn’t overly hot or too understated and the onions were the perfect compliment. I’d say the weak link was the cheese, the pepper jack felt unnecessary to me. I was glad to get to try it since I didn’t think it was being rolled out with the fries after the trial either.
I love hot food, so that’s not the issue. I do not like the flavor of their sriracha aioli. It has too much of a vinegar tang to it. I wish they’d bring back the Ghost Pepper Fries. While I didn’t think they were hot, they were very tasty.
Can’t try them because you don’t know if they have MSG or not. Please educate your crews.
Susan: I do not think there is MSG in there. I just came back from Wendy’s website and there is no mention of it in the ingredients.

I’m not a fan of fake cheese sauce but these fries are surprisingly good. There’s enough real cheese to make it better. Quite tasty and I hope they stick around!
