Looks yummy but I don’t know why Baskin-Robbins insists on using the “Pizza” description for this dessert when we already have a word for it – it’s a flan.
Went to my BR; they didn’t get the memo on the free sample day. Showed them the event on BR’s offical FB page. They went to get the polar pizza and instead of a tiny sample piece. THEY GAVE ME A HUGE HONKING SLICE! I was like whoa thanks.
Tried both the chocolate mint and the peanut butter. A fine enough idea, but I didn’t find enough ice cream–the ice cream layer is too thin. My recommendation: get It’s-It ice cream sandwiches, or make the “pizza” yourself (in a pie tin or loaf pan/brownie pan, press down a layer of crushed chocolate wafers or Oreo’s, or chocolate chip cookies or brownies, and then cover with a *thick* layer of softened chocolate mint ice cream, and freeze ’til solid; easy and fast to do, cheaper than the BR version, and you’ll get more–).
I do agree! Making it at home is much cheaper and it just quick! Brownies from a box mix baked then shaped into pie crust shape. Plop some ice cream and then top off whatever you like. This would be great for a dessert party or a birthday party. Start off with decorating the “pizza” then put in freezer until dessert time.
