Mayan chocolate in Greek yogurt from a French company that’s found in the most American store. Oikos? More like NATOs. (Spotted by Rachel C at Walmart.)
If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new product on the shelf, snap a picture of it, and send us an email ([email protected]) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. Or reply to us (@theimpulsivebuy) on Twitter with the photo, where you spotted it, and the hashtag #spotted. If you’ve tried the product, share your thoughts about it in the comments.
Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.
Let’s complicate matter even more: Dannon was founded by a Spaniard after being influenced by Pasteur in France, with the company starting in Spain but eventually moving headquarters to France by the original founder’s son.
So we got a Spanish company founded on French technique, later relocated to France and now making Greek inspired yogurt with a Mayan (coincidentally conquered by Pedro de Alvarado, a Spaniard) twist.
Thanks for making my day! 😀
