We know Arby’s has the meats, but the chain is showing off their Italian meats in two new sandwiches — the Mount Italy and Smoked Italian Porchetta.
The Mount Italy features a dozen ingredients. There are three meats — Genoa salami, pit smoked ham, and Italian pork loin (porchetta) that’s been smoked for eight hours. There are four vegetables — banana peppers, lettuce, red onions, and tomatoes. Then there are three condiments — Italian seasoning, red wine vinaigrette, and a roasted garlic aioli. There’s also smoked provolone cheese and a star cut bun.
It has 950 calories, 63 grams of fat, 23 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 175 milligrams of cholesterol, 3560 milligrams of sodium, 44 grams of carbohydrates, 11 grams of sugar, 2 grams of fiber, and 52 grams of protein.
If you’re looking for something less mountain-y and more hill-y, Arby’s Smoked Italian Porchetta is for you. This sandwich has smoked Italian pork loin, smoked provolone cheese, Italian seasoning, banana peppers, red onions, tomatoes, roasted garlic aioli, lettuce, and red wine vinaigrette on a sub roll.

I would love to try either one of these but the sodium levels are off the charts.
Wait… wait… the montrous looking and meaty Mount Italian has fewer calories (or almost the same) than the dunked chicken options from Sonics (http://www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wordpress/2017/07/25/fast-food-news-sonics-dunked-ultimate-chicken-sandwiches/)?
Damn… Sonic… what did you put in your Burgers… oO
I tried the mount Italy today, it was very good. Arbys should keep it.
I tried the mount Italy today, it was very good. Arbys should keep it. Also the pizza sliders are awsome. Keep those please.
The Mount Italy looks amazing.
I had both, and were both good. They(and the Loaded Italian) all have different components.
nutritional values without bread? anyone know?
So I have eaten the Mount Italy three times in the last month. I generally don’t eat at Arby’s that often, so eating three of these saying something. I believe it is one of the best “fast-food” sandwich I have every had. I hope they keep it.
I just tried the loaded Italian porchetta, and it was one of the blandest sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. The banana peppers were the only thing to break out of the muddle. There were a couple bites where I tasted a bit of a smokey flavor, but barely. I’ll not waste my money again on this one.
Mount Itlay is the sandwich of all sandwiches! Arby’s you got yourself 1
I shared the Porchetta. I don’t care for it. Just edible. The Mount Italy “Vesuvius” and Loaded Italian are very good. I have have the Loaded Italian several times over several years.
The Mount Italy is amazing!! So much flavor, so much juice all over your hands! I hope they keep it!
