Jack in the Box’s new Breakfast Pockets remind me of Taco Bell’s Breakfast Crunchwrap, but without the hash brown patty. Why isn’t there a hash brown patty? After all, Jack in the Box has put one in a burger, a chicken sandwich, a burrito, and a mini fast food trough.
The hash brown-less Breakfast Pockets come with a freshly cracked egg, two cheeses, and your choice of sausage or ham in a grilled flour tortilla.

Dry, flat and tasteless
I had the jack in the box ham and egg breakfast pocket this morning. Absolutely wonderful
I purchased a Breakfast Pocket this morning with ham and ther wasn ot any egg in it at all.
Just ham and cheese. Your sign is misleading as well it shows 2 Breakfast pockets and says $2., it is actually $2 for each pocket.
Tried both this morning. 1) too much tortilla. I removed about half the tortilla on both and ratio to filling was better and tasted better. 2) both pockets were barely warm and could be much warmer/hotter. 3) while both tasted pretty good, they contain too many calories! I will probably return to the Breakfast Jack because it’s tastier and healthier, but I enjoyed trying something new. Please bring back the Pannido sandwiches.
I just tried the ham and cheese one and i love it. I came early so its fresh and flavorful! I added a little grape jelly as well but i overall enjoyed it.
I’ve tried both and I do love the sausage version, but can do without the two kinds of cheese. Having said that, I do agree the advertisement with pricing is misleading and ended up on the first visit getting two pockets for $4 as I tried to get the drive-thru attendant to explain if I was ordering one pocket or does the order come with two. She didn’t understand my question and I ended up with 2 for $4. Now, when it comes to the sausage vs the ham, I’d stick with the sausage being more flavorful. I could get the same ham taste and fewer calories getting the Breakfast Jack with the same thin slice of ham in both. Lastly, I tried two different locations and found inconsistencies in the cooking. First one with the 2 sausage pockets was goldenly toasted. The tortilla was grilled to perfection, the sausage hot and steamy with the cheeses melted and oozing out at each bite. The other location with ham was toasted but not completely leaving a flour tortilla to be eaten. Just two different cooks can make a big difference and I was hoping the calorie intake would not be too bad but 600 calories are too much. I’ll opt for the grilled breakfast sandwich eating 1/2 for breakfast and the remaining half for lunch after reheating. Or keep checking on removing one slice of cheese to bring the calorie count down. I did like the sausage, goldenly toasted version from the Pico Rivera location.
