Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 Funtastic Color Changing Cake Mix

With the unicorn trend we’ve been seeing, I’m surprised this was not called Unicorn Cake. (Spotted by Chelsea C at Ralph’s.)

    1. The packaging is very vague so I’m in the same camp of moderate confusion. Is it color changing when you add the wet ingredients to mix it, does it change color as it’s being microwaved, or does it somehow change color as you’re eating it? Why in the world would they take something as novel as color-changing cake and then go keep it regular vanilla flavored? They should have tried cotton candy or something!
They probably would have called it Unicorn Cake if it wasn’t for the lawsuit after Starbucks came out with the Unicorn Frappuccino. I’m sure someone would have tried to go claiming rights over the name so they probably played it safe!

      1. Cotton candy cake would be perfect. YUM! All they just need to swap out the regular sugar and add cotton candy sugar. Simple like that.

  1. It’s supposed to be white mix that changes
To red when mixed with wet ingredients. Would be a lot more impressive if it changed when being cooked.

  2. And so, the batter changes color as it is mixed? Umm, ok–that typically happens when you mix ingredients of different colors, or add a few drops of dye . . . .

Now, change color as I’m *EATING IT* and you got me–
