Sonic wants to warm you up this winter with its new Hearty Chili Bowl.
The menu item features hearty beef, onions, bell peppers, beans, and bold seasonings. There’s also a Loaded Hearty Chili Bowl that comes with Fritos, shredded cheese, and diced onions on top a serving of chili. The regular version is available for $2.49, while the loaded version goes for $2.99.
Both are available for a limited time at participating Sonic locations, while supplies last.

this looks really tasty, but there is no word i hate more than hearty. ugh.
It’s *not*. Look at the discussion yesterday on BrandEating. The stuff is not good. https://www.brandeating.com/2019/01/sonic-serves-up-new-hearty-chili-bowl.html#disqus_thread
sonic chili sucks!!! Not very good, I give it 4 stars compared to Wendy’s chili about a 8 stars.
small bowl of chili with no spoon
The new chili bowl is terrible. I wanted it to great. It wasn’t.
It’s not good. I went expecting a chili on par with Wendy’s like everyone else, it was more like hotdog chili than soup chili. No meat or beans or anything. I got the loaded bowl, so what I basically got was if you ordered the chili cheese dog with onions and then sm ate the toppings with a spoon. The Fritos we’re stake I didn’t even eat them.
Did not like it very much at all. Wendy’s is much much better like real chili….not thrown together half blended with way too much tomato sauce all spiced up. I hardly had any meat or bean in mine today.
Very disappointed…I would stick with what Sonic does best….that is not “Chili”
