“Are you goth or did you just eat a cupcake with midnight black frosting on it?”
the black Funfetti frosting would lend itself well to spooky graham cracker house buildings – roofing and mortar-type applications. cute.
also – there’s never enough marzipan in my life and Stollen Muffins Filled with Marzipan sounds delicious. sigh. no Sprouts.
Hmm, fun thought; and this type of icing doesn’t act as a mortar. You would simply end up with a pile of graham crackers and frosting.
You could use that for mortar if you added extra powdered sugar. (I think.) But it might lighten it to a gray… and if it turns into tombstone gray, maybe that’s okay?
i thought that might be the case, re: not stiff enough for the mortar, but it could still be knifed on to the joints decoratively on top of a melted chocolate mortar.
gray has many applications too! rocks and castle-y effects maybe.
it could also be spread out as the base layer for “dirt” with a healthy sprinkle of crushed Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers and gummy worms. …i’ve tried to break the big wafers in half for big scalloping roof “shingles” and usually end up with more unusable “dirt” when they don’t break cleanly.
