Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.
I got an email about this milk back in October. It said this is a plant-based milk alternative that’ll convince even the most devoted dairy lovers. Okay. We shall see, I mean, taste. (Spotted by Robbie at Target.)
I was intrigued and ready to try until I found the reduced fat has 190 mg sodium per cup. Original Silk Soy has 90 mg sodium and their original organic soy has 85 mg so they will be what I’ll keep buying. Keeping to 1500 mg sodium/day is essential for my health so I’m disappointed in the new milks.
I just need a non-dairy that froths as well as whole milk. Until then milk is my primary choice when making lattes.
Oops! I replied to you and accidentally just did it as a comment…see below!
Oat milk is a wonderful choice. Also, a lot of non-dairy milk brands offer “barista” editions that behave as normal dairy when making drinks and have a slightly different formula to also work optimally with the coffee. “Oatly” is my fave and I’ve seen it at most groceries.
