Friends Vanilla Bean Latte Cereal is hitting stores. If you missed our review, click here. (Spotted by Amanda Y at Walmart.)
If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email ([email protected]) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.
Does the world really need 629 different cereals? Maybe I’m crazy, but I’m thinking not. Especially all the niche cereals like this one…
Just me?
You can apply that question to MOST processed food products. If you only want a few food products to chose from, then shop at Aldi’s. I’d argue that an almost limitess choice of food is definitely good for the consumer, keeps prices within reason (barring the higher than usual inflation), and forces manufacturers to innovative to keep their products visible. It’s the reason why TheImpulsiveBuy is existing lol.
You’ve made some valid points, but personally, I still would prefer quality over quantity.
i think this is in response to our ever-shortening attention span, gotta keep churning out different stuff (even if most of it is just another minor riff on an existing cereal but in a colorful new box…) these come and go so quickly it’s hard to keep up!
True, true. I’m coming to the conclusion that my problem here is age-related… I will be 70 if I make it to my next birthday. Back in my day, before walking 5 miles in the snow to get to school, we were perfectly happy with our limited variety of breakfast cereals.
Now get off my lawn lol
When I was a kid in the 70s, the whole grocery aisle was full of cereal. Way more than now. Its decreased substantially.
