COMING SOON: Hazelnut Spread M&M’s

Mars MMS Hazelnut Spread

Last year, Mars announced Caramel M&M’s and how it developed a new production process to create them. When I read about it, my imagination ran wild with all the possible creamy ingredients the candy company could stuff into an M&M’s center.

I’ll admit my imagination went a bit too far when mayonnaise popped into my head. But before I got to that extreme, hazelnut spread came to mind.

Well, Nutella to be exact. But the popular hazelnut chocolate spread ending up in M&M’s is as unlikely to happen as Mayo M&M’s since it comes from a competing confectioner.

Hazelnut Spread M&M’s features a hazelnut spread center (duh!), covered with milk chocolate, all of which has a colorful candy coating. The new variety is making its debut in the U.S., but there was a Hazelnut M&M’s introduced in the U.K. last year with a nutty center.

Unfortunately, while Mars has announced the new flavor in September 2018, it won’t be available until April 2019. So I guess for now you’ll have to settle for dumping regular Milk Chocolate M&M’s into a jar of Nutella and digging the candy out of the hazelnut spread with a spoon, like it’s some over-the-top sugary breakfast cereal.

Mmm. I just thought of that while writing this post, and I can’t believe I haven’t tried it yet.

When it’s available, Hazelnut Spread M&M’s will come in a number of package sizes — Non-Share Singles (1.35 oz.), Share Size (2.53 oz.), and Sharing Size Stand Up Pouch (8.3 oz.).

COMING SOON: Dunkin’ Donuts Shot in the Dark

Dunkin' Donuts Shot in the Dark Lifestyle Image

Dunkin’ Donuts Shot in the Dark line is a new ready-to-drink beverage from the donut chain. It’s the first canned coffee drink from the brand, and it follows the bottled iced coffee line it released about two years ago. Like the bottled line, the Coca-Cola Company will manufacture and distribute the canned coffee.

Shot in the Dark features Dunkin’ Donuts’ coffee with a touch of cream and sugar that’s combined with espresso. The line has three flavors –- Caramel, Mocha, and Vanilla. Each variety comes in an 8.1-ounce can that has 80 calories and 13 grams of sugar.

For you caffeine-heads, the caramel one has 134 milligrams of caffeine, while the mocha has 128 milligrams, and vanilla has 127 milligrams.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Shot in the Dark line is available now at select retail locations. It will continue to expand through 2019 at convenience and grocery stores across the United States.

COMING SOON: James Harden Collectors Edition Trolli Sour Brite Sneaks

Trolli Sour Brite Sneaks

In 2016, Trolli teamed up with Houston Rockets star James Harden to release the colorful Trolli Sour Brite Weird Beards, which have appeared regularly in my dreams over the past two years.

This year, the two are teaming up again to bring us the not-as-weird James Harden Collectors Edition Trolli Sour Brite Sneaks, which look like James Harden’s Adidas shoe. According to the press relese, the gummy candy features a Triple-Double Berry theme, playing off of Harden’s success with triple-doubles on the court, and color contrasts found in the real sneaker world.

While these don’t look weird, I do want to box them up and sell them on eBay with the title “Trolli James Harden 2018 Basketball Shoes Collectors Edition NEW Size 0.5 with Box.”

The gummy candy will be exclusively available at 7-Eleven beginning in March and then make its way to select retailers in May.
