COMING SOON: Ben & Jerry’s Moo-phoria Light Ice Cream

Ben Jerry s Moo phoria Light Ice Cream

Update: We reviewed it! Click here to read our review.

Ben & Jerry’s released a bunch of new products last month and this month it’s rolling out a new light ice cream line called Moo-phoria. Each 1/2 cup serving has 140-160 calories and 60-70 percent less fat than regular Ben & Jerry’s flavors. And it does this without using artificial sugar substitutes or sugar alcohols.

But how does Ben & Jerry’s do that? Magic? Science? A deal with the Devil, which I guess could be considered magic?

Moo-phoria pints are available in three flavors:

  • Chocolate Milk & Cookies – Chocolate and vanilla light ice cream swirled with chocolate chip cookies.
  • Caramel Cookie Fix – Vanilla light ice cream with shortbread cookies and a salted caramel swirl.
  • PB Dough – Chocolate light ice cream with gobs of chocolate chip peanut butter cookie dough.

The new light ice cream line will be available at grocery stores nationwide for a suggested price of $4.89. It will also be available at Ben & Jerry’s online store: store.benjerry.com.

COMING SOON: Post Chips Ahoy and Nutter Butter Cereals

Nutter Butter Chips Ahoy Cereals

Later this month, Post will be putting out two new cookie-inspired cereals — Chips Ahoy and Nutter Butter cereals. The two follow the return of Post Oreo O’s, which came back earlier this year.

Here’s what the press release about them said:

Chips Ahoy Cereal — For all the chocolate cookie lovers out there, this is a chip off the old block! NEW Chips Ahoy cereal puts the taste of America’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie right into your breakfast bowl.

Nutter Butter Cereal — Peanut shaped pieces offer a crunchy bit of fun. A creamy coating with REAL peanut butter tops them off with the Nutter Butter flavor you love. Skip the toaster and serve up this crunchy and creamy breakfast treat!

Both cereals retail for $3.98 and will be on shelves beginning December 26. Happy Belated Christmas! Or Happy Kwanzaa! They’ll be available exclusively at Walmart until April 1. Happy April Fool’s Day! You can also order them via Walmart.com beginning December 22.

COMING SOON: Reese’s Outrageous Bar Stuffed with Reese’s Pieces

Reese s Outrageous Bar Stuffed with Reese s Pieces

To celebrate Halloween, the Reese’s brand unveiled a new candy — the Reese’s Outrageous Bar.

It shouldn’t be confused with Reese’s Nutrageous Bar that features peanut butter surrounded by peanuts and caramel covered with milk chocolate. The new bar is similar, but instead of peanuts, it has Reese’s Pieces candy.

Unfortunately, the new candy bar won’t make its debut until May 2018, but some folks in Royal Oak, Michigan were able to sample it at the town’s Halloween event.

Well, only seven long months to go.

COMING SOON: Ben & Jerry’s Special Stash Marshmallow Moon Ice Cream

Ben Jerry s Special Stash Marshmallow Moon

Ben & Jerry’s has again partnered with Jimmy Fallon to offer a new flavor — Marshmallow Moon. This is the third flavor that features Fallon’s name. Suck it, Dave Matthews Band! (They had two.)

The flavor combines all the goodness of a Moon Pie into a pint. It features vanilla ice cream with marshmallow and graham cracker swirls and fudge flakes. Marshmallow Moon is available only for an extremely limited time on Ben & Jerry’s online store and participating Scoop Shops.

It’s the first Special Stash offering, which are small-run artisan batches of funky flavors that’ll be available at Scoop Shops and from Ben & Jerry’s online store for a limited time. Since these are limited runs, I guess Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Graveyard will be getting fuller soon.
