COMING SOON: Kellogg’s Special K Dipped Chocolatey Almond Cereal

Specialkdippedchcoalmond

Later this month, Kellogg’s Special K will debut its Dipped Chocolatey Almond cereal that features chocolatey dipped cereal flakes. According to the press release, it’s the first time dipped cereal flakes are showing up in the US market.

But the cereal isn’t just chocolatey dipped flakes, it also contains cocoa-dusted flakes, and almond slices. The new Special K product will be available in two sizes: a 13.1 oz box ($3.99 suggested retail price) and a 19.2 oz box ($4.99 suggested retail price).

So now that dipped flakes are a thing, when is Kellogg’s going to use this chocolatey coating cereal flake technology on another popular flake cereal it makes.

Yes, I’m talking about Raisin Bran.

I’m definitely not talking about Frosted Flakes or Corn Flakes.

COMING SOON: Snickers Almond Brownie

Snickersalmondbrownie

Late last year, Snickers rolled out its Peanut Brownie, which you can still find on shelves in candy and ice cream form. The brand that satisfies (and is better than Milky Way, don’t @ me) is following that up with Almond Brownie.

The new squared candy features a chewy brownie filling, mixed with chopped almonds, topped with caramel, and all coated in dark chocolate. If the previous sentence is making you droll for them, you’ll have to wait a few months because these don’t come out until August 2021.

Also, no word if this is getting turned into an ice cream bar like Peanut Brownie did. An ice cream bar in August would be nice. It’s going to be so hot.

Snickers Almond Brownie will be available in multiples sizes — Single (1.26 ounces), Share (2.52 ounces), and Sharing Stand Up Pouch (6.93 ounces).

COMING SOON: DiGiorno Gluten Free Pizza

Digiornoglutenfree

Earlier this year, we saw the release of a gluten-free version of the iconic Oreo cookie. Another popular product getting the gluten-free treatment is DiGiorno’s thick hand-tossed crust pizza.

The brand’s gluten-free offering is available in two flavors — Pepperoni and Four Cheese. According to DiGiorno, they’ll be the only certified gluten free pizzas in the frozen aisle featuring a thick hand tossed crust.

Both pizzas have a suggested retail price of $9.99 and will be at select Target stores nationwide beginning this month (they might even be there already). A wider retailer rollout is planned for later this year.

COMING SOON: The Return of Kellogg’s Cereal Straws

IMG 5783

Thanks to a petition and social media, Kellogg’s is bringing back its Cereal Straws, and, according to the press release, they’re returning permanently. Although, let’s be honest, if Kellogg’s S’morz cereal has taught us anything it’s that a popular discontinued product can be revived, hang around for a few years, and then be discontinued again.

Kellogg’s Cereal Straws debuted back in 2007 and were discontinued in 2009. There were three varieties — Froot Loops, Cocoa Krispies, and Apple Jacks. If you’re interested, we reviewed the Froot Loops one. Here in 2021, only the first two will be revived.

The press release also said they won’t be coming back until October 2021, which, depending on your definition of “soon,” might make the title of this post a lie. So I guess I should start a petition to bring them back sooner because October is a looong ways away. Are we just going to have to drill holes through Trader Joe’s Cocoa Batons until then?

When they do hit shelves, they’ll be available at retailers nationwide and online at GalerieCandy.com. Kellogg’s Cereal Straws will come in 5-, 18-, and 24-count sizes.

COMING SOON: Lemon Creme Pie, Banana Creme Pie, and Peach Cobbler Pop-Tarts

Summer 2021 Pop Tarts

Update: We tried the Lemon Creme Pie one! Click here to read our review. Also, if you’re interested, we also reviewed the new Tropical Mango variety.

Pop-Tarts has done many cake flavors. There’s Confetti Cake, Red Velvet, Birthday Cake, and Chocolate Cupcake. The brand has done many ice cream flavors. There are so many of them that it’s too much of a task to list them here.

As for pie flavors, they’ve been limited to just apple pie and pumpkin pie. But this summer, Pop-Tarts will be adding a couple more. Beginning June 2021, Kellogg’s will be rolling out three new Pop-Tarts varieties modeled after some of America’s favorite desserts — Lemon Crème Pie, Banana Crème Pie and Peach Cobbler.

Pop-Tarts Lemon Crème Pie and Peach Cobbler will be available in an 8-count box for a SRP of $2.89, and Pop-Tarts Banana Crème Pie will be available in a 16-count box for a SRP of $3.68. As you can see in the image above, the Banana Creme Pie one will be an exclusive flavor. I haven’t been told which store they’ll be exclusive to, but there’s a good chance it’s the one you’re thinking of. And if not, it’s the other one.
