Update: We tried it! Click here to read our review.

Kellogg’s is combining two of its iconic cereals into one with Mashups Cereal with Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes + Froot Loops. The limited edition cereal will be available in June at retailers nationwide. It’ll be available in two sizes — a 9.8 oz. box (SRP $3.99) and a Family Size 15.06 oz. box (SRP $5.69).

This has got me thinking about other Kellogg’s cereal Mashups I’d like to taste. Rice Krispies + Corn Flakes. Frosted Flakes + Raisin Bran. Frosted Mini Wheats + Raisin Bran. Although, if I wasn’t so lazy, I could make all those mashups right now by buying the cereals individually.

APRIL FOOLS!

Nope. Not April Fools.

I assure you Limited Edition Chips Ahoy Sour Patch Kids Cookies are real. Unless someone went through the trouble of doing some really good Photoshop work to come up with the packaging you see above, spoofing the email of a PR person I’ve dealt with before, and sending me a press release that has the following information:

  • Chips Ahoy! Sour Patch Kids Inspired Limited Edition Cookies are made with Sour Patch Kids-inspired candy pieces.
  • It will be available at retailers nationwide beginning May 2020. (Although it’s been spotted at Dollar Tree stores already. Yes, I typed Dollar Tree.)
  • It will have a MSRP of $2.95 for an 8-ounce package.

What are “Sour Patch Kids-inspired candy pieces”?

I originally assumed, from the way its worded, that these cookies don’t have actual bits of chewy Sour Patch Kids. And, from what I can tell by looking at an Instagram post by @candyhunting, the cookies don’t look like they do. But after following up with the nice PR person who sent me information about these, I was told the sweet and sour candy bits have a gummy texture.

COMING SOON: Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes with Tony the Tiger-Inspired Marshmallows

CS FF TT Marshmallows

Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes with Marshmallows is already a thing. Heck, the company even changed things up by including marbits with Chocolate Frosted Flakes.

But this time, instead of switching the flakes, the folks at Kellogg’s are changing the marshmallows with Tony the Tiger-inspired marshmallow shapes. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s just a coincidence that these tiger-mallows are coming out after the release of the popular Netflix series, Tiger King.

The marshmallow shapes include Tony’s face, power paw, sporty scarf, and sweet swirl.

Boxes will be showing up at retailers nationwide later this month and the suggested retail price for a 16.5-ounce box is $3.99.

COMING SOON: Kellogg’s JUMBO SNAX

Kellogg Jumbo Snax

Kellogg’s has introduced JUMBO SNAX, snackable jumbo-sized versions of some of its iconic cereals. There’s also a variety inspired by Frosted Flakes, but aren’t flakes, which is a shame because potato chip-sized Frosted Flakes sound like something I’d chomp on.

The varieties include Kellogg’s Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, caramel-flavored Corn Pops, and the Frosted Flakes-inspired Tiger Paws.

They will come in two sizes — 0.45-ounce single serve bags that come in 12-packs and a shareable 6-ounce resealable bag (shown above). The suggested retail pricing is $5.59 for the multi-pack and $4.99 for the resealable bag.

Kellogg’s JUMBO SNAX will be available in cereal aisles nationwide in May 2020.
