COMING SOON: The Return of Dunkaroos

Dunkaroos Box

Dunkaroos are coming back.

Oh, wait. I should really add an exclamation point at the end of the opening sentence because the cookie and frosting combo has been one of the most sought after snacks from the ’90s. So I imagine a lot of folks are super excited it’s returning.

So…Dunkaroos are coming back!

But, not yet.

According to General Mills, the dunkable snack will be back on shelves this June at retailers nationwide. Also, unlike the first coming of Dunkaroos, which featured various frosting flavors, there will be just one available this time: vanilla cookies and vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles.

If you’re unfamiliar with Dunkaroos, read this Wikipedia entry to get caught up.

Now we wait for four months.

COMING SOON: Special Edition Rick and Morty Pickle Rick Pringles

News Pickle Rick Pringles

For the third year in a row, Pringles will have a commercial during the Super Bowl. While the first one starred comedian Bill Hader and the second one centered around a sad smart speaker, the Pringles commercial for the upcoming game will feature Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.

The Kellogg’s and Rick and Morty partnership will also give us a special edition, collectable Pickle Rick flavor that’s inspired by the “Pickle Rick” episode which involves mad scientist Rick Sanchez turning himself into a pickle to avoid family therapy. If you’re unfamiliar with the episode or Rick and Morty, there are several clips on YouTube. Viewer discretion is advised.

According to the press release, Pickle Rick Pringles will be available nationwide beginning in early February. The Rick and Morty Pringles ad will be shown during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.

To be honest, I imagine these taste like previous pickle Pringles. Also, while I’m being truthful, I really want these just for the can design.
