SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 3/1/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Hawaiian Punch Crush Orange Water Enhancers

Crush Grape Water Enhancer

Look at what you started MiO! This is getting ridiculous! An ICEE-flavored liquid water enhancer? Awesome! Now I can enjoy the goodness of a completely melted ICEE without having to wait for it to melt. (Spotted by Joshua at Publix and Winn Dixie.)

Campfire Mallow Bursts Lemon Meringue

Toast these babies over a fire, then place them in between two graham crackers, and you have yourself a lemon s’meringue. (Spotted by Nadirah at Walmart.)

Ocean Spray Cran-Lemonade

Ocean Spray has combined cranberry with grape, pomegranate, raspberry, blueberry, apple, cherry, strawberry, tangerine, and now lemons. Is there any fruit Ocean Spray won’t combine with cranberries? (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Bon Appetit Frozen Meal

At first I thought these Bon Appetit frozen entrees were related to Bon Appetit magazine. They aren’t. Then I wondered if Bon Appetit magazine still exists. It does. After that I wondered if Gourmet magazine was still being published. It’s not. After that I wondered if Highlights for Children still exists. It does. Then I wondered if Children’s Digest was still around. It’s not. (Spotted by Kevin at Walmart.)

Nestle Limited Edition Coco Orange Shreddies

Now THIS is what limited edition cereals should be like here in the US. Kind of weird, but that weirdness makes it buyable. Instead we have limited edition Trix cereal with swirls and limited edition Marshmallow Pebbles that are exactly like regular Marshmallow Pebbles except with a different Flintstones character on the box. (Spotted by Kelly at Waitrose in the UK.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/27/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Starbucks VIA Refreshers

Decisions. Decisions. Do I buy these Starbucks VIA Refreshers and make them at home? Or do I go my local Starbucks and have that cute barista make a Starbucks Refreshers for me while I admire her beauty with a creepy stare? (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Tropicana Farmstand

Yeah! Get one serving of vegetables and one serving of fruit with a cup of Tropicana Farmstand, but then feel inferior when your co-worker comes in with their kale-infused fruit smoothie made with a $500 Vitamix blender. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

Pillsbury Orangesicle & Key Lime Cookie Mix

Does the Pillsbury Doughboy do any baking? I believe he does. But if he does bake, and he pulls stuff in and out of an oven, shouldn’t his hands be a golden brown. Unless the Pillsbury Doughboy died a long time ago, after being completely baked, and what we see is his ghost. And when people poke his belly, it’s actually him sucking in his gut and giggling. He has to fake it because if he doesn’t the finger will go right through him and freak everyone out. (Spotted by Linda at Walmart.)

Reese's Eggs Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cup

I would highly suggest not hiding these eggs around your lawn during Easter. Well, unless you “hide” them in the middle of your lawn, where the Easter egg hunters will find them before they completely melt. (Spotted by Steven at Walmart.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/25/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Kool-Aid Liquid

Oh yeah! No more choking on Kool-Aid powder clouds when dumping the contents of a Kool-Aid packet into a pitcher. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

60th Anniversary Peeps Vanilla Creme

Peeps are 60 years old! Do you know what would be an awesome way to celebrate? With birthday cake-flavored Peeps, of course. (Spotted by Amy at Target.)

Peeps Birthday Cake

Oh look, here they are! Why do they come in such a weird color? (Spotted by Dubba at Walmart.)

fig newton baked apple cinnamon

I thought Nabisco already made Baked Apple & Cinnamon Newtons. It turns out they didn’t, but they once made Apple Newtons and Caramel Apple Newtons, both of which were discontinued much quicker than Apple’s Newton. (Spotted by Dubba at Market Basket.)

Blue Diamond Almonds Strawberry Blueberry

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue almond – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red almond – you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. (Spotted by Eric at Harris Teeter.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/22/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Pepperming Crunch

Ben & Jerry's Coffee, Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz!

It makes me sad when Ben & Jerry’s gives their ice cream a simple name, like Chocolate Peppermint Crunch. I wish I could help them come up with a better name for it. Maybe ChocoChoco MintMint CrunchCrunch? Nope. I’m just copying Coffee, Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz! I wish I had a way with words. (Spotted by Matt at Giant.)

Swedish Fish Jelly Beans

Not sure how new these are, but this is the first time I’ve seen them and the internet hasn’t been helpful. Besides that, these Swedish Fish Jelly Beans have me wondering why Swedish Fish haven’t already come in a chewy, red, and bite-sized form. Oh wait… (Spotted by Michael at Walmart.)

Weight Watchers Smart Ones Chicken Slider

Suck it, White Castle and your (probably) much better tasting chicken slider thingies! I no longer need to go on a wild road trip that involves running into Neil Patrick Harris in order to get some chicken sliders. (Spotted by Linda at Target.)

South Beach Diet Fudge Graham Fiber Bars

Even if I did go on the South Beach Diet and lost a bunch of weight, I still wouldn’t look as good as those folks in South Beach…mainly due to excessive body hair, flabby arms, toe hair, weird fingernails, my slightly deformed head, unibrow, and a flat ass. (Spotted by Adam at Weis Markets.)

International Delight Iced Coffee Light

Oh, thank goodness there’s a light version of International Delight Iced Coffee. I was getting a nice energy boost with the regular stuff, but I was also getting booty boost with the regular stuff. (Spotted by Marvo at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 2/20/2013

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers.

M&M White Chocolate Carrot Cake

Instead of bringing carrot cake to an office party and explaining to co-workers that they won’t be able to taste the carrots, you can bring these White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s and explain to co-workers they won’t be able to taste the carrots. (Spotted by Troy at Walmart.)

Post Sesame Street C is for Cereal

If A is for Apple and B is for Banana, I look forward to trying the future 25 Post Sesame Street C is for Cereal flavors. C could be cantaloupe. D could be…um. Dammit! Where’s Sue Grafton when I need her? (Spotted by Michael at Walmart.)

Farmer's Garden by Vlasic

When I look at these pickles, it takes me back to a time when things were simpler and I enjoyed tuna and pickle sandwiches. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Emerald Breakfast on the go Fun Packs

If I ever buy these Emerald Breakfast on the Go! Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Fun Packs, I’m not going to eat them for breakfast. I’m going to eat them as a mid-afternoon snack because NO PACKAGING is going to tell me when I’m going to eat it. (Spotted by Adam at Weis Markets.)

Pillsbury Limited Edition Red Velvet Cookies

These Limited Edition Red Velvet Cookies don’t make me want to poke the Pillsbury Doughboy in the belly to make him giggle. Instead, they make me want to squeeze him with my arms like I’m kneading him with hugs. (Spotted by Ryan at Walmart.)
