NEWS: ‘Tis the Season for Limited Edition Gingerbread Oreo Cookies

Gingerbread Oreo

I’m not going to say much about these Limited Edition Gingerbread Oreo cookies. I’m just going to let you stare at the photo above, sent in by TIB reader Kenneth, and let the excitement build up in you.

Have you gotten the excitement out of your system? Well, now that you’ve calmed down, I should let you know that according TIB reader, @KingRhino on Twitter, the cookies are a Walmart exclusive:

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/25/2012

Here are some new products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what new items are popping up. We’ll also occasionally throw in an unusual product.

Stride Fearless Fruit

This Stride Fearless Fruit packaging looks like it would be great as a drunken mistake from a tattoo parlor. (Spotted at a candy booth at a food show)

Gorton's Tilapia Skillet Crisp

Oh, Gorton’s! Is there any fish you won’t coat with breading, cook, quick freeze, and then sell in a yellow box? (Spotted at Target)

Skippy 1/3 Less Sodium Sugar Natural Creamy Peanut Butter

Less sodium and sugar? Those are the things that make peanut butter awesome. I say more sodium and sugar! And, since it’s a “peanut butter spread,” I say more peanuts! (Spotted at Target)

Wrigley's 5 Beta Gum

I’ve played with enough buggy computer software to know I should be cautious about anything labeled “beta.” I wonder if it tastes weird or might delete my entire iTunes library. (Spotted at Target)

Ensure Clinical Strenght

I’ve seen “clinical strength” antiperspirants and dandruff shampoos, which I hear do great jobs at keeping your armpits dry and your black shirts flake-free, but I did a double take when I saw this Clinical Strength Ensure. Although, I have to admit, I did the double take because of the price for one bottle and not the fact that it’s a clinical strength Ensure. Holy crap! Ten dollars for one bottle! Oh wait, it’s a 4-pack for ten dollars…I need some clinical strength contact lenses. (Spotted at Target)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/23/2012

Here are some holiday products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what items are popping up.

IMAG0857

SoCo Egg Nog is yummy, but it doesn’t have alcohol. However, if you’ve got a bottle of SoCo around, you can easily add an ounce…or two…or three…or skip the egg nog altogether and just drink the SoCo. (Spotted at Walmart. Thanks for the photo, Kenneth!)

IMAG0831

Yup, it’s that time of year when Dreyer’s/Edy’s Limited Edition Pumpkin, Peppermint, and Egg Nog ice creams start showing up in the frozen food aisle to help ensure you gain weight during the holidays. (Spotted at Target. Thanks for the pic, Kenneth!)

IMAG0778

If the holidays get depressing for me, I may just dunk my face into one of these bad boys and eat it sans utensils. (Spotted at Walmart. Thanks for the pic, Kenneth!)

Limited Edition Tootsie Roll Vanilla Midgees

I think these show up during the fall/winter months because one can throw them up in the air and pretend they’re snowflakes. Oh wait, they’re bigger and more solid than snowflakes. Let me rephrase. One can throw them up in the air and pretend they’re hail. (Spotted at Walmart. Thanks for the pic, Kenneth!)

IMG_5330

Yay! Minty s’mores! Yay! Minty hot chocolate you have to wait several minutes for because it’ll take awhile for the jumbo marshmallow to melt away. (Spotted at Target.)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/19/2012

Here are some new products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what new items are popping up. We’ll also occasionally throw in an unusual product.

Mallowbites Ice Cream Cone Marshmallows

Mallowbites Fruit

Do you remember when marshmallows came in only one flavor? You don’t? Well then, take your hop-hip music on your iTelephones and get off my lawn, you young whippersnappers! (Both spotted at Walmart. Thanks for the photos, Kayla and Kenneth!)

Knorr Menu Flavors Pasta Sides

I’m not sure which restaurant’s menu Knorr was looking at for these two new flavors of their Pasta Sides Menu Flavors. My guess is either Chili’s, Applebee’s, T.G.I. Friday’s, or a made-up restaurant called Habernathy’s. (Spotted at Target. Thanks for the photo, Kenneth!)
,
Pillsbury Funfetti

Wait a minute? Putting cake on a stick is a thing? So I put the cake pop in my mouth, pull the stick out of it, and that’s it. I can’t suck on it. I can’t shave my head and pretend I’m Kojak. Sounds lame. Or maybe I’m old. Here’s a Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Pop Kit review. (Spotted at Target. Thanks for the photo, Richard!)

Guy Fieri Sauces

I don’t care about Guy Fieri sauces or Guy Fieri pizzas. The only product I would like to see with Guy Fieri’s face on it is Guy Fieri hair gel. And maybe a Guy Fieri hair bleaching kit. (Spotted at Safeway)

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 10/17/2012

Here are some new products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what new items are popping up. We’ll also occasionally throw in an unusual product.

CPK Frozen Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Hey, mon! Do you like your frozen pizza topped with a spicy and sweet sauce, Jamaican jerk-style chicken, mozzarella cheese, roasted bell peppers, onions, and scallions? If so, CPK has a limited edition pizza for you to eat after skankin’ to some Eek-A-Mouse. BIG UP!

Delimax Tostizzas

Ugh! Tostizzas! I thought Taco Bell was the only company that made Tex-Mex products with names that have the ability to make Microsoft Word’s spellcheck cry.

Folgers Fresh Breaks

The best part of waking up is knowing there’s an extremely quick and easy way to make a single serving of Folgers coffee in your cup!

New Pace Salsas

New Pace Dips

I find it a little weird Mexican restaurants have homemade salsa, but Pace has restaurant-style salsas. Is that Pace’s way of saying they have homemade salsas? I am confused.

Wasabi Mayonnaise

What!?! Only now I learn there’s a lazier way to get wasabi mayonnaise. I wasted years of my life trying to discover the right wasabi and mayonnaise ratio. Why must you torment me, wasabi gods?
