NEWS: Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Pringles May Scare Your Taste Buds

Pumpkins

As you know, pumpkin is an extremely popular flavor this time of year.

It’s so popular that Kellogg’s, the new owners of the Pringles brand, will soon be releasing a limited edition Pumpkin Spice Pringles flavor. Yup, your eyes just read that and your brain is comprehending it.

I know Pumpkin Spice Pringles sound gross, but Kellogg’s has a good track record with pumpkin-flavored products, so I look forward to trying them.

Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Pringles will be a Walmart exclusive.

If you’ve tried them, let us know what you think of them in the comments.

NEWS: Lean Pockets Goes Limited Edition With a Three Cheese Tomato Melt Variety

Limited Edition Lean Pockets

Since 2011, there have been several limited edition Hot Pockets. There’s the Spicy Hawaiian Style Pizza, Four Cheese Garlic Pasta Bake, Chili Sauce Cheese Dog, and BBQ Recipe Bacon Burger. After the last two Limited Edition Hot Pockets releases, I began to wonder what new Hot Pockets varieties they could surprise us with next year (I hope it’s spaghetti and meatballs) and why there weren’t Limited Edition Lean Pockets.

Well, I no longer need to wonder about Limited Edition Lean Pockets, because, during a trip to Target, I discovered the Lean Pockets Limited Edition Three Cheese Tomato Melt. This particular Lean Pocket is made up of tomatoes, low fat mozzarella, reduced fat cheddar and provolone cheese with a creamy sauce in a seasoned crust.

So how lean are these Lean Pockets? One has 230 calories, 5 grams of fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 15 milligrams of cholesterol, 420 milligrams of sodium, 37 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, and 8 grams of protein.

I’m not sure if this is the only Limited Edition Lean Pockets available right now. If you’ve seen others, let us know in the comments below.

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 9/21/2012

Here are some new products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what new items are popping up. We’ll also occasionally throw in an unusual product.

I’m extremely disappointed there isn’t a bottle of vodka on the label. There are images of cream, tomatoes, and garlic on the label, but not the featured ingredient. There isn’t even a picture of a potato or a shirtless Vladimir Putin. (Thanks for the photo, Aaron!)

Lunchables Snackers

Fully cooked. Ready to eat. No need to heat. Yeah, that how chicken nuggets should be. Cooked, cold, and from a resealable bag. I don’t think McDonald’s can beat that with their hot, slightly crispy McNuggets that come with a dipping sauce. (Thanks for the photo, Adam!)

DiGiorno Bacon Blitz

This isn’t a new pizza. Here’s a Freezer Burns review. It’s been around for two years, but now it’s a limited edition. It’s also available for GAME TIME! Watch men play with the pigskin while eating meat that came from under a pig’s skin. Yeah! (Thanks for the photo, Adam!)

I don’t know who Orla Kiely is, but I think with these bottles she has made my Softsoap, Dawn, and Lysol bottles extremely self-conscious.

Since these are a Target exclusive, I’d like someone to do the opposite of shoplifting (shopdropping?) with these and stick them on one of the cereal shelves at a Walmart.

SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 9/18/2012

It’s a holiday themed Spotted on Shelves this week. Here are some festive (new and old) products found on store shelves. We may or may not review them, but we’d like to let you know what items are popping up.

Yoplait Pumpkin Pie

Oh, Yoplait. You’re so proficient at making dessert flavored yogurt. It’s a gift. I hope you never ever lose it. (Thanks for the photo, Adam!)

Coffeemate Pumpkin Spice

Is your coffee creamer not festive enough? Does it match the Halloween/Thanksgiving decorations around your office/cubicle? If not, Coffeemate has your back with a Pumpkin Spice flavored creamer. Coffeemate also has your backside in mind because it’s also sugar free. (Thanks for the photo, Adam!)

Philadelphia Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese

Is your bagel not festive enough? Try spreading on some Philly Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese. Or make any spoon festive by using it to eat the pumpkin-flavored cream cheese straight out of the tub. Here’s Clearance Cuisine’s review. (Thanks for the photo, Adam!)

Hershey's Kisses Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice Hershey’s Kisses have been available for years and they’re back again. People must really like them. Or Hershey’s made trillions of them and have yet to sell them all. Here’s a 2008 Candyblog review and here’s a 2011 Foodette Reviews review. (Thanks for the photo, Chris!)

Milky Way Caramel Apple

Hey look! It’s something new for trick-or-treaters and office candy jars at the receptionist’s desk. Here’s a review from Mmm…Deliciousness. (Thanks for the photo, Chris!)

Eating full cooked breaded chicken straight out of a microwaveable bag? It’s as if Tyson has been reading my dream journal. But I have a feeling preparing them in a microwaveable bag won’t make their breading crispy. (Thanks for the photos, Adam!)

This sounds much more exciting than the previous Limited Edition Classico Seasonal Selections Garden Vegetable.

IMG_5151

I’m surprised no one thought about topping a cake with crumbled Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies before this. Oooh, speaking of crumbled Milano cookies, do you know what I’d like to see next? A Dairy Queen Pepperidge Farm Milano Blizzard.

In the past, I made my Kraft Macaroni & Cheese a little classy by adding bacon and bread crumbs. But now Kraft does that for me. How am I going to impress the ladies now?

Really? Super hydrating water? So does this “super hydrating water” make my pee super too? Will I need a special toilet to contain my super pee?
