Ben & Jerry’s is partnering with award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay to offer a new flavor that’ll hit shelves nationwide starting in January 2023.

Lights! Caramel! Action! features vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls, graham cracker swirls, gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough, and a name that makes me smile because it’s just so dang clever. The flavor will also be in a non-dairy version that has an almond milk base. Ava DuVernay worked with Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Gurus to come up with the new creation.

The flavor is a full-time addition to Ben & Jerry’s vast flavor line-up and will not only be available in pints at stores across the nation but also at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops.

Proceeds from Lights! Caramel! Action! will benefit Ava DuVernay’s non-profit ARRAY Alliance which promotes and elevates the work of artists of color and women directors, creates inclusive film sets, and provides grants, mentorship, and education for people from underrepresented communities who want to work in the film industry.

Those square cereal pieces sure do look like Golden Grahams. Are they Golden Grahams? Is this Lucky Charms S’mores Cereal the Golden Grahams and Chocolate Lucky Charms mashup we could’ve had for years?

Here’s the description I received from General Mills:

With Lucky’s magical stars, clovers, blue moons, unicorns, rainbows and tasty red balloon marshmallows, this sweetened wheat and corn cereal will bring smiles to breakfast and snack time every day.

Lucky Charms S’mores Cereal will be available nationwide soon with a suggested price of $5.24.

A while back, IHOP teased the internet with an image of a breakfast cereal it was working on. Well, that cereal never made it to stores. But a different IHOP branded cereal will be hitting shelves this month — IHOP Blueberry & Syrup Mini Pancake Cereal from General Mills.

It features itty-bitty pancake-shaped pieces with natural and artificial blueberry and syrup flavors. It’ll be available at grocery stores nationwide in two sizes — an 11.2-ounce box and a family-size 19-ounce box.

Happy 60th Birthday, Chips Ahoy!!

Well, actually its birthday is in 2023, so my birthday wishes are a little early since we’re still in 2022 as I type this.

To celebrate Chips Ahoy’s 60 years, Nabisco will be rolling out Chewy Chips Ahoy! Confetti Cake Flavored Cookies. Oh, but these are not regular crunchy Chips Ahoy, they’re Chewy Chips Ahoy, which debuted, totally off the top of my head, in 1983. So I guess I should also say Happy Early 40th Birthday, Chewy Chips Ahoy!

The upcoming cookie is made with chocolate chips and colorful rainbow sprinkles. It’ll be available nationwide staring in January 2023 in a family-size cookie pack with a suggested price of $4.99.
