QUICK REVIEW: Kellogg’s Eggo Drizzlers Vanilla Icing Waffles

Kellogg's Eggo Vanilla Icing Drizzlers

Purchased Price: $3.19
Size: 6 waffles/box
Purchased at: Publix
Rating: 6 out of 10
Pros: Waffles toast up crispy. Icing akin to cinnamon roll icing. 10 vitamins and minerals. Excellent for making breakfast sausage sandwiches. Excellent for making ice cream sandwiches. Fulfills lifelong goal to draw on a waffle. Filling in the waffle nooks reminds me of Tetris.
Cons: Homestyle waffle base is pretty bland on its own. Only 3 icing packs for 6 waffles. Must sustain patience for the icing to defrost. Must sustain patience for waffles to toast. Realizing I have no patience.

QUICK REVIEW: Pillsbury Heat-N-Go! Blueberry Mini Pancakes

Pillsbury Heat-N-Go! Blueberry Mini Pancakes

Purchased Price: $1.49
Size:
Purchased at: Safeway
Rating: 5 out of 10
Pros: Comes in a microwaveable pouch. Can be eaten straight out of the pouch with your hands. Frozen to ready in 75 seconds. Fluffy-ish 2-inch pancakes make Bisquick pancakes seem awesome. Can be found for a dollar or less. Getting some sausage patties and making breakfast sliders with these mini pancakes.
Cons: Blueberry flavor is too light. Not sweet enough for my tastes. If you send your child out into the world with only this as their breakfast, they’ll probably get hungry within an hour after finishing it. Having to wake up for school. Being woken up by a finger poking your belly button, making you giggle.

QUICK REVIEW: Steak-Eze Philly Steak Bacon & Cheddar Sandwich

Steak-Eze Philly Steak Bacon & Cheddar

Purchased Price: $3.00 (on sale)
Size: 4.66 oz.
Purchased at: Safeway
Rating: 7 out of 10
Pros: One of the best microwaveable sandwiches I’ve ever had (not including Hot Pockets). Thinly sliced Angus beef has a nice flavor with a slight pepperiness. Mild cheddar and Angus steak are a tasty combination. No sauce needed. Higher quality bread than other microwaveable sandwiches in terms of flavor. Comes in a hot dog-like tray, so no plate necessary (unless you’re a really messy eater).
Cons: Strip of bacon that runs through the entire sandwich lacks flavor and is overwhelmed by the steak and cheese’s flavor. Didn’t have cheese in every bite. Rustic bun had a slightly chewy crust. A “Philly” sandwich made by a company based in Cincinnati. Philadelphians would probably boo this.

QUICK REVIEW: Ore-Ida Simply All Natural Homestyle Wedges

Ore-Ida Simply All Natural Homestyle Wedges

Purchased Price: $2.99
Size: 24 oz. bag
Purchased at: Target
Rating: 6 out of 10
Pros: Has a fluffy interior and slightly crispy exterior. Having the chorus of Tina Turner’s “The Best” pop into my head every time I see the packaging. Made with Grade A potatoes. Made with olive oil. Goes great with ketchup, but tastes fine naked. There’s enough in the bag for four big servings. If you’re into all-natural products and too lazy to cut up raw potatoes, season them, and bake them, these are perfect for you.
Cons: Only a slight flavor improvement over regular partially natural potato wedges. There’s a noticeable freezer-ness to them; people will not mistake these for potato wedges from fresh raw potatoes. Didn’t see any sea salt on the wedges. Packaging makes it seem like it’s made with only olive oil, but it’s also made with vegetable, canola, sunflower and/or cottonseed oils. Oven preparation only.

QUICK REVIEW: Weight Watchers Smart Ones Smart Creations Chicken Fajitas

Weight Watchers Smart Ones Smart Creations Chicken Fajitas

Purchased Price: $3.79
Size: 8 oz
Purchased at: Target
Rating: 5 out of 10
Pros: It may not look like it, but there’s enough chicken, peppers, and onions to more than stuff the two tortillas. Tortillas are easy to bite through (I thought they were going to be tough after being microwaved). Adding beans and rice to the fajita gives them a little more flavor. Good source of fiber (thanks red beans). Doesn’t sizzle and draw attention to your table like Chili’s fajitas do.
Cons: Slightly bland fajitas. Rice and beans have a slightly weird buttery flavor. Chicken should’ve been marinated. Tortillas make my hands look huge.. Soggy, sad vegetables with no crunch. Not that filling.
